A remarkable antique Etruscan revival pendant from the mid-Victorian era featuring a turquoise encrusted dome bulging from the centre, surrounded by ornate, Etruscan inspired metalwork, crafted in shining 18ct gold.
Etruscan revival pieces were crafted in the late 1800s after ancient Etruscan jewellery was unearthed in tombs outside of Rome, beginning a fascination with the style and giving birth to these beautiful pieces which were crafted in the same grand and elaborate fashion.
The workmanship is truly exquisite and is complete with a new 18ct loop and a large locket at the back in which a photograph or lock of hair can be held.
